Apologies to Those who Care
Journal Entry: Sun Jun 15, 2008, 3:27 AM
- Mood:
Sociable - Listening to: The 'Base' hostel radio (mostly RHCP)
- Reading: 'Harry and the Wrinklies' (awesome)
- Watching: NZ pass me by
- Playing: ...Still 'Pokemon'!(keeps me sane)
- Eating: Cheaply (but healthily. Honest.)
- Drinking: Tap water. It's all I can afford.
Despite my previous assurances, I'm afraid difficulty is being had with keeping up with DeviantArt messages and the like - though I have no problem uploading photos, etc., due to the fact that my damned subscription has run out and I don't know how to efficiently use this inferior layout, AND I have to pay through the nose to use the Internet here, I can't really reply to messages or anything exciting like that until my return from NZ at the end of July. So.
Please, I do still need the ego boost of whatever deviations are deemed worthy of favourites (he pleaded sycophantically), and I PROMISE to respond to all messages when I DO get back. Honest.
Unless I'm tired.
Or celebrating my return.
Or I forget.
But anyway, I WILL be uploading any and (hopefully) all pics which I see fit for my gallery; tomorrow we're heading into the South Island, land of plentiful photo opportunities and snowed-in houses(or both), so, as per usual, feel free to Watch This Space.
Ben

So, you're now the assistant manager, right? What's that like? More importantly, what's the pay like?

When we're bored we'll just randomly walk around and put button pins on our nametags [we have "Welcome to Ardene" with lanyards], we'll throw on a scarf or pick stuff up for ourselves. When we get new stock though, that's when all hell breaks loose. We'll rummage through the boxes and try on the the shirts, squeal at the new knee highs that have piano keyes on them, and try the purple hair streaks [which look great on me XD].

The various sightseeing sounds like great fun - I'm expecting some damn good photos, mind you. Preferably tasteful ones, that is.
Alas, we're too far away from any coffee places to get such luxuries...instead, we pile up heaps of kitchen towels andpacks of toilet rolls and jump on them when the day's dragging. It passes the time. Bet you can't do THAT with your fancy fashion, can you?

Oh, good thing you were able to find some work. I'm switching over to full time now. Woo-Hoo, money! I love our store, we're such cool people. On Friday there was four of us working [Jing, Vanessa, Kim and I] and we were pretty bored. We decided that we'd all have coffee and ice cream and sent out a couple people to get everything.
I hope they don't think Josh is a creeper when he comes around the store. XD He'll be at City Centre a bit before my shift is over, so he's going to have to wait for me. I told him he should get something from Purdy's and just chill in one of the comfy chairs they have outside. lol

Well, I have my oh-so-badly-needed job...exactly where I was before. If I didn't know I was going to Uni in two months, I'd be worried I wasn't going anywhere...still, 38 hours of work in the first week is probably a good (if painful) start...
